Funded by The Washington Department of Commerce, this is the first (to my knowledge) state-level agrivoltaics feasibility assessment that comprehensively combines mapping, site-specific solar performance and crop quality and yield modeling, extensive literature review, and farmer interviews and surveys.
This was a fun and fruitful collaboration with The Nature Conservancy Washington, Washington State University, and American Farmland Trust. We hope that this serves as a model for states or regions hoping to better understand their potential for agrivoltaics development. Key components of the study:
